I have been staying at the Inn on Long Lake for over 4 years, on a monthly basis. My work takes me to central Vancouver Island and this hotel is in the North end of Nanaimo; very convenient to get to malls and on to the main highway that takes you to the Northern part of the Island. It is always impeccably clean and the rooms are much larger than most hotels I stay in. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff always go out of their way to make my stay comfortable. I have my favourite room which I almost always get, but any room I have stayed in has a view of the lake. Makes it easy to forget that I'm there to work! I would advise others if they are looking for a stopping point on your way to the West Coast, or even a getaway for locals, to check it out. The breakfast is included and is one of the best I've seen.
